November saw the premiere of our club’s new promotional film. The production was created in cooperation with the MagicLine Group – the team responsible for the international success of the spot “Wroclaw City of Adventure”, awarded, among others, at the World Tourism Film Awards in Valencia and honored with the Silver Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.
For the first time in the history of our club, the space was turned into a full-fledged movie set, where every detail, from light to sound, mattered. Michal Zielinski, known for his films that combine poetic imagery with emotional depth, was responsible for the direction.
We wanted to show in the film the real atmosphere of Vertigo – the one experienced by our guests every evening. We wanted to capture the emotions of the people who make up this place every day. Michal Zielinski perfectly sensed that Vertigo is first and foremost about people and their energy – and this is exactly what you can see in these shots ” – says Andrzej Rzezwicki, business manager
Film mastershot, art and emotion in one shot
The main scene in the new film was shot as a mastershot – a demanding technique in which the entire sequence is created in one continuous shot. As a result, the viewer accompanies the camera on a journey through Vertigo’s nightlife, observing the successive micro-stories that make up Vertigo’s atmosphere. To complete this shot, the space had to be filled in full 360 degrees, as the camera repeatedly rotated around the characters, revealing several sets and layers of action at once.

The mastershot was meant to show the essence of Vertigo: a place where evening, food, music and people intertwine into one story that is best experienced live, to the rhythm of jazz.

More than 200 people on set, hundreds of applications – an extraordinary Vertigo community
More than 200 people took part in the filming – including artists, musicians, friends of Vertigo and its regulars. The new spot is a cinematic story about the emotions that are born in the rhythm of jazz – moments that make every night at Vertigo a unique experience.
We could not imagine creating the film without the participation of our guests. It is they, along with the artists and our team, who have been building the unique atmosphere of Vertigo for years. When we announced the opportunity to become a part of this project, the response was tremendous – hundreds of people applied within hours. This video is a tribute to everyone who creates the Vertigo atmosphere – the artists, the audience, the people behind the scenes and the staff. We wanted everyone who has been to our club at least once to find a piece of themselves in this picture. – says Karolina Filusz, Vertigo Marketing Manager.
During the filming, it was very important for me to show in the film as many of our Wroclaw musicians as possible, who for years have been co-creating the unique atmosphere of Vertigo. It is they who, through their presence and talent, build the unique image of our place – where music combines with excellent gastronomy and bar atmosphere. That’s why I was keen to invite as many artists as possible, with whom we cooperate on a daily basis, and together create this musical and visual portrait of Vertigo. As a result, in the film we can see members of the Vertigo Swing Orchestra on stage, among others, as well as the wonderful vocalist Adeama Walkowiak, who has been part of our musical family for many years. It is thanks to such people that Vertigo is a place where music not only sounds, but also unites people and creates a real Wroclaw atmosphere. – says Piotr Karwat, Artistic Director
