This is the year Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant entered the EJN – European Jazz Network. For the second time Vertigo was the festival club of Jazz on the Oder River On the Vertigo stage played Michal Urbaniak with his band. The third edition of Vertigo Summer Vibes Festival was held, the third Vertigo festival with alternative, rock, electronic music. The sixth edition of Vertigo Summer Jazz Festival, the largest jazz festival in Wroclaw organized by Vertigo. Fifth edition of Vertigo Summer Blues Festival. Edyta Bartosiewicz performed on the Vertigo stage with a Solo Act program.

We celebrated Vertigo’s birthday with exceptional concerts by the Soyka Quartet and Urszula Dudziak. Ewa Bem with Andrzej Jagodzinski Quartet and Piotr Wojtasik Quintet also performed on our stage, providing unforgettable emotions. Summer once again belonged to music – the second edition of the Vertigo Summer Vibes Festival, the fifth edition of the Vertigo Summer Jazz Festival and the fourth edition of the Vertigo Summer Blues Festival took place. Vertigo also once again became the festival club of Jazz on the Oder.

In 2021, Vertigo inaugurated the Vertigo Summer Vibes Festival, dedicated to alternative, rock and electronic music. This summer also saw the fourth edition of the Vertigo Summer Jazz Festival – the largest jazz festival in Wroclaw – and the third edition of the Vertigo Summer Blues Festival, aimed at fans of blues and classic guitar sounds. The Vertigo Summer Festivals have gained great interest and have become an important part of the city’s summer cultural life.

Another birthday, another great concert. This time on our stage appeared – Jazzpospolita – the premiere of the album “Tide”. This is a special month that we will remember forever – 03.2020 the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in Poland. As part of the fourth birthday celebration, Natalia Szczypuła played together with the Vertigo Band. This is also the time when the permanent lineup of this band was formed. Another birthday concert was a performance by Monika Borzym & Mitchell Long. This is the year of the second edition of the Vertigo Summer Jazz Festival, the largest jazz festival in Wroclaw organized by Vertigo. We first launched the Vertigo Summer Blues Festival, Vertigo’s second festival. This year, Magdalena Kumorek and Tubis Trio: Komeda – Perspektywa Nova played on our stage, a great concert.

The third birthday of Vertigo was honored by Waglewski and Pospieszalski, creating a unique concert full of emotions. The meeting of the two charismatic artists attracted a crowd of listeners and was long remembered by our audience. This year saw the launch of the “Ball at Vertigo” series of events, where guests dress up according to the theme of the evening – this combination of music, atmosphere and fun quickly gained popularity. The first edition of the Vertigo Summer Jazz Festival – the largest jazz festival in Wroclaw – was also inaugurated.

At Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant, we began regularly presenting “tribute” concerts dedicated to the greatest figures of world jazz. These were evenings with the music of legends, re-arranged by leading Polish musicians. One of the first such events was the “Tribute to John Coltrane” concert, played by Zbigniew Kozera and his band. During the second birthday party, a duo – Marek Napiórkowski and Artur Lesicki – appeared on stage and presented material from the “Celluloid” album. This project is a musical journey inspired by the classics of Polish cinema, combining jazz with nostalgia for the golden age of film.

On the stage of Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant we hosted one of the most important Polish jazz artists – Tomasz Stanko, who performed with a band composed of Łukasz Ojdana – piano, Maciej Garbowski – double bass, Krzysztof Gradziuk – drums. It was an extraordinary event, in which a jazz icon met with representatives of the younger generation. Vertigo also featured world-class trumpeter Erik Truffaz – one of the most recognizable artists in European jazz, combining classical sounds with electronics and ambient music.

Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant inaugurated its activities on February 15, 2015 with a concert by Monika Borzym, a well-known singer who combines jazz and pop music. The event was met with great interest – tickets sold out within two days. The club, located at 13 Slawska Street in the basement of the Business Center Save The World building, was distinguished from the beginning by its decor inspired by New York jazz clubs.
